Jul 6 – 6PM Pizza Potluck and Social

Join us for an in-person dinner potluck meeting at host Mike Garcia’s house in Torrance.  We’ll supply pizza, cutlery, plates, napkins, cups, and drinking water.  Please bring a side dish to share.  Meet at Mike’s house at 6 PM; enjoy some pizza + potluck, and socializing.  Mike will lead a tour of his food and native plant gardens and talk briefly about the SouthBay Surfrider Foundation.  Mike’s house was on the 2026 Poppy Day Garden Tour, so this is a good time to observe seasonal changes or see it for the first time.  As with most of our events, you needn’t be a CNPS member to join in.  Family members who appreciate native plants are welcome too.

Mike Garcia previously owned and operated Enviroscape / Enviroponds LA and is a founding member of the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden and stays involved with it even to today!  This is in-person only, no Zoom.  Sundown is 8:08 PM on July 6, and we won’t extend the meeting beyond sundown.  Parking is on the street, and congestion may push parking down the block.  If you have special mobility needs, please email to let us know and we will keep a place in the driveway (this depends upon space available).
