CNPS Garden Ambassador Seasonal Garden Visit

Patricia Carpenter’s Seasonal Late Spring Ramble

Patricia's GardenYou are invited to enjoy Patricia’s native garden on a typical late spring day. The garden, a secluded 1-acre wild escape on the slough, is located west of Davis. Started in 2005, it now features about 400 species and cultivars of California native plants. Visit Patricia’s Garden Ambassador profile to learn more about this garden, access a map, view a plant list, and take a virtual tour!

Highlights:

  • Late spring color. The desert area begins to come alive.
  • The many geophytes in the garden should be blooming
  • Observe seasonal maintenance, pruning, seed collecting, and plant propagation.

Stop by any time between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm RAIN or SHINE for the self-guided garden ramble. Garden maps are available for use onsite.

There will be an optional short orientation and Q&A gathering with Patricia at 10 am and 12 noon. We will meet near the check-in table.

Although masks are optional, please respect distancing and mask wearing of other visitors. Sturdy shoes advised. No dogs, please. A composting toilet is available. You are welcome to bring a lunch or snack. The non-native garden will be open to view as well.

The Miridae Mobile Plant Nursery will be here again.
