Aug 2, Noon, Field Trip – Garden Tour & Lawn Conversion

Save noon to 2:00 on Sunday, Aug 2, for a field trip to Torrance to visit Marie Hoffman’s established native plant front and back garden and a neighboring property’s recent front lawn conversion.  Marie’s house was featured on our spring garden tour, so this is an opportune time to revisit or to see it for the first time.  We’ll talk about the creation of both gardens from the stand point of native plants, sustainability, and how the Surfrider Foundation program support our ocean health.  Space is limited, so please email SouthCoastCNPS@gmail.com with the number of attendees in your group and receive the address with your confirmation.

UPDATE: A second event, Regenerative Permaculture & OCEAN FRIENDLY GARDENS starts at 2:00 PM on Saturday, a few doors down.  Register online to attend this second event, hosted by sustainability expert Mike Garcia, who will introduce world renowned Farmer Rishi speaking on organic gardening.  Plants will be for sale!
