CHAPTER MEETING: Patterns of Plant Diversity in Sierra Nevada Meadows

May 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Presenter: Steven Lee, Ph.D.  Dr. Lee has done research in the Sierra Nevada for over a dozen years and recently completed his Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico, Las Cruces. In Yosemite and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, he has worked on pack stock use patterns in mountain meadows, meadow plant diversity, fire effects following the Rim fire, and the recovery of Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frogs, a federally endangered species. Chapter meetings are educational and inspiring; they are also a great way to meet people who share a common interest in California native plants and landscapes. We will have light refreshments and information on the California Native Plant Society. There is no cost, and everyone is welcome to attend.
