DATE: Saturday, June 1, 2024

LEADER: Doug Krajnovich – Red Hills hike along Serpentine Creek; Tom Reyes – Chinese Camp Brodiaea Work Party

DESCRIPTION:
After the field trip, join us at our volunteer work party to help the rare Chinese Camp Brodiaea (Brodiaea pallida). CNPS Sierra Foothills Chapter has partnered with a local landowner to preserve and steward the rare plant population on their property. We will work to remove several invasive plant species such as yellow starthistle (Centaurea solstitialis) and barbed goat grass (Aegilopos triuncialis) to improve the habitat for this beautiful rare plant species.
