Monthly Program – Altadena Green’s Effort to Protect Native Trees Damaged by the Eaton Fire with Rebecca Latta
Monthly Program Meeting in Monrovia and via Zoom, Altadena Green’s Effort to Protect Native Trees Damaged by the Eaton Fire with Rebecca Latta.
Native Trees in the San Gabriel Valley are critical to the area, providing habitat, shade and ecosystem benefits. There is also evidence that native oak trees may have shielded homes from flames. Altadena Green was founded to preserve and restore the character, culture and heritage of Altadena’s tree canopy, and to prevent the removal of healthy, mature trees that embody the spirit of the place. Learn about our efforts and the findings from our first few months of surveys in the burn area.
