An Evening for the PUSD Trees with Julia Butterfly Hill

Local CNPS-SGM members and many others are working to protect trees at schools within the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD). 193 trees across multiple campuses are slated for removal as part of post-Eaton Fire soil remediation. Approximately 16 trees have already been removed. Community members—including students, parents, neighbors, scientists, arborists, and conservation advocates—have questioned whether the proposed scope of removals is necessary and have urged that as many trees as possible be preserved while completing any required environmental remediation.
