Past Field Trip to Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve

This field trip was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 with Andy Werner as leader. It’s a dry year, but some areas of the Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve were still beautiful. We hiked a loop of the preserve with some hill climbing. We met by the Martin Road Fire Station in the dirt parking lot.

From Hwy 1, take Bonny Doon Road to right on Pine Flat Road and turn right quickly onto Martin Road.  Fire Station is about one mile on left side of road.

From Hwy 9, take Felton Empire Road to Ice Cream Grade. Stay on Ice Cream until left turn onto Martin Road.  Fire station is about one mile on right side of road.
