Past 2025 Events

The last public meeting of the Santa Cruz County Chapter of CNPS was held on February 10, 2025 at the Natural History Museum of Santa Cruz. The event started with a keying session using the UCJeps online program to identify spring wildflowers. A short business meeting was followed by an informative talk by Maya Argaman on the New Calscape web program. With the program, one can find the names and photos of native plant species and pollinators, locate nurseries, and learn about caring for and designing a garden of native vegetation.

Our next public meeting will be held April 7, 2025. Mark Bibbo, Conservation Project Manager for the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, and Conservation/Rare Plants Committee Lead for our chapter will tell us about“The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County: Connecting People to Land Preservation Since 1978.”  A post with more information coming soon.
