Our 2026 Spring Plant Sale is April 11!

Just a few of the locally native plants you’ll find at our spring plant sale (left to right): dogface butterfly on bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa), pipevine swallowtail butterfly on styrax (Styrax redivivus), and yellow-faced bumblebee on grand hound’s tongue  (Adelinia grandis).

Our 2026 Spring Plant Sale is in tune with the season — It’s coming earlier than in some other years! We’ll hold our Online Sale on Saturday, April 11, via our online Redbud store. Special hours for members 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon), and open to everyone from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

We’ll publish the store link here on our website, and we’ll email it to everyone on our mailing list several days before the sale. It will be active only sale hours on April 11. A few days before the sale, we’ll also send to members the code that will give you access starting at 10 a.m.

This sale will feature plants that are fine to plant in spring. We’ll definitely include riparian plants; these plants naturally grow near water, so they welcome, year-round water. So you can water those new native plants even though it’s summer.

All plants have been grown by our members at home and/or in our nursery. Almost all are locally native species, including perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees that are adapted to Nevada and Placer County landscapes and provide habitat to local pollinators, birds, and wildlife.

Plant pickup will be Sunday, April 19, with signup options between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Right after you purchase your plants, you’ll sign up for a pickup time.

If you’d like to help box up plants on Saturday, April 18, from 9:30 to 12:30, please contact volunteer4Redbud@gmail.com.

This email will have the code that allows members to log into the store during the member sale.

You will need to pay for your order, via credit card, at the time of sale (and schedule a pick-up time).

Final Plant List!

Here’s the final plant list for you to download. This list represents our careful assessment of plants at the time we prepare the list. Because we are committed to providing healthy plants, if, for any reason, a plant starts looking poorly before the store opens, we’ll withdraw it from the sale. Thanks for understanding.

Final Plant List

Check out this same list as a Calscape plant list. Quickly see photos and learn more about any of the plants we’ll have for sale.

Plant Pickup

Once you complete your plant purchase, you’ll be prompted to sign up for a pick-up time.  You will pick up your plants at your scheduled appointment time on Sunday, April 19, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pick-up times can be scheduled only via our Sign-up page.

  • You need to reserve a pickup time only for your first purchase. All your orders will be combined for you to pick up at the time you reserve.
  • When you reserve your time, you’ll receive the address where you’ll pick up your plants. The pickup site is near Bennett and Brunswick in Grass Valley.
  • If you show up to get your plants without an appointment, they likely won’t be ready.

We are so grateful to our Redbud nursery volunteers and home-growers, who have been working hard for months to propagate native plant species for your garden.
