Placer Big Trees Grove
Southeast of Foresthill, Placer County
Originally authored by Karen Callaha…
Though you may encounter native plants throughout most of the undeveloped areas of Placer and Nevada Counties, easy access is not always a given. Luckily our area offers year-round opportunities to discover new places to hike and learn about our native flora. The following places are some of our favorite local sites to see plants. (Note: One or two are on private property, not open to the public, only for hikes specifically arranged in advance by non-profits such as Redbud Chapter. Please respect this.)
This list is a work in progress, so make sure to visit again for updates!
