Benefits of being a member of CNPS and the Redbud Chapter
First of all, by joining CNPS you are supporting our mission and all the work we do to conserve California native plants and their natural habitats, encourage awareness, understanding, and enjoyment of our unique botanical heritage, and promote the use of native plants in gardening and landscaping. Intact native plant communities and healthy ecosystems are essential to biodiversity and the well-being of all living things.
Our mission is accomplished through education, plant science, advocacy, land stewardship and native plant gardening. We work closely with decision-makers, scientists, and local planners to provide science-based information on native plants and plant conservation, and to advocate for well-informed and environmentally friendly policies, regulations, and land management practices.
Get inspired with the latest news and perspectives on habitat conservation, gardening, everyday uses for California native plants, nature-based activities for kids, and more.
Enjoy in-depth articles and scientific insights from today’s leading, native plant experts. Beautiful, thematic issues from wetlands to chaparral, conifers to native lilies.
Redbud is your local chapter, one of 35 CNPS chapters statewide, giving you the opportunity to make like-minded friends in your area, and enhance your understanding of native plants and your ability to recognize and use them. Redbud offers opportunities to see expert presentations, participate in field trips, and volunteer to preserve your local wild spaces.
Whether you’re an undergrad or a seasoned agency scientist, CNPS is the best way to meet peers, mentors, and valuable partners working on the issues that matter to you. Members get discounts on CNPS plant science training workshops and our triennial conference, as well as first consideration for scholarship funding.
