NEWS FLASH! We’re aiming to also stream this program on Zoom and record it to put on our Redbud YouTube channel! Details in this post.

Life in Soils

Do you know what’s living in your soil? The microscopic life happening in soil makes all the difference to plant health!

On the evening of Wednesday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m., join the Redbud Chapter of the California Native Plant Society for an in-person look at the various microorganisms that make up the soil food web, and how to assess their abundance in any soil or compost. We’ll discuss how a soil’s biological profile favors one plant type over another, and how we can use this knowledge to better support our favorite native plants.

Wesley Sander is owner/operator of Foothill Biological Soil Health Services, and an instructor at the Soil Food Web School. He has spent more than two decades involved with agriculture – in commercial production, farm-focused journalism, and promotion of soil ecology as a primary element in plant production.

Location Details

JUST ANNOUNCED: Program On Zoom

Meeting ID: 868 3219 0490

We’re also going to try to stream live on YouTube, at https://youtube.com/live/1BS0vD9dq8U?feature=share

After the event, we’ll post the recording on our CNPS Redbud YouTube channel.

If you can come in person, please do. It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow native-plant fans! And ask questions in person! If you can’t, then wish us well in our first endeavor recording an in-person Redbud program. Our plan is to stream it on Zoom.

We’re definitely planning to post the recording on our Redbud YouTube channel, so you can watch (again) at your leisure) and share with other folks! (Please be patient with any tech issues, as streaming or recording an in-person meeting with a slideshow presentation is on the challenging side.). If this goes well, we may also aim to livestream future in-person meetings on YouTube.
