Sandy Leatherman
Sandy Leatherman, an active member of OC CNPS’ rare plants and field trip committees, is a seasoned botanist that has worked much of her career looking at native plants in nearly every corner of Orange County along with the greater Southern California. She graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a degree in Biology where she loved her field botany and plant taxonomy classes. She worked for the USFS, and Oak Canyon Nature Center before becoming a Botanical Consultant at a large firm and then at her own company. With a strong local knowledge of rare and uncommon plants, Sandy will be sure to sprinkle in some of her favorites from across the county.
