2025 October 18 – Special Event– OCCNPS Member Celebration Day at TOLN
On Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., OCCNPS will celebrate the native plant community that has supported Tree of Life Nursery and our local ecology for more than four decades.
We invite members to join us in honoring Tree of Life with a day full of connection, creativity, and community. Come share your memories, hear engaging presentations, enjoy an art workshop with Emyle Rogers, and relax with a box lunch near the oaks.

Event Schedule
9:00–10:00 AM: Check-In
Check in at the front of the nursery. We’ll verify registrations and provide meal tickets to registered members.
10:00–11:00 AM: Talks from Californica Nursery & Liveforever Landscape
Hear from two inspiring local businesses as they share their stories and their best tips and tricks for fall and winter gardening.
11:10 AM–12:00 PM: Art Activity with Emyle Rogers
Join artist Emyle Rogers for a guided “draw along.” Paper and crayons will be supplied.
12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch
Enjoy boxed burrito lunches from Taco Mesita with your choice of Chicken, Beef, or Bean & Cheese. Each meal includes chips and salsa (note: chips are fried in beef tallow). Drinks (agua fresca or horchata) provided while supplies last.
1:00–2:00 PM: Closing Statements
Hear from Tree of Life Nursery co-founders Mike Evans and Jeff Bohn as they reflect on the nursery’s incredible legacy.
