Overview: Irby Park is a rare, undeveloped 8-acre community park beautification project initiated by neighbors about three years ago. OCCNPS member Amanda Herring joined 2.5 years ago to restore it with native plants. After learning that it is a peat bog, or seasonal wetland, it has been her mission to ensure it is restored with as many of the locally native plants that would have been there historically, as well as natives that can now survive our changing climate.
Pre-registration is required for this event. No walk-ups. Each participant must register individually.
