April 12 Plant Walk – Wildflowers of Pepperwood: Roller Coaster Ridge

Meet at the Dwight Center upper parking lot (follow signs uphill past the barn, parking is past the main building)

Length: Approximately 3.5 miles with some steep hills (moderate level)
Description: Join Pepperwood’s Ecology Research Manager (Michelle Halbur) to explore the reserve’s beautiful vistas and colorful wildflowers. We will hike through two prior prescription burn units, showcasing how serpentine chaparral, oak woodland, and grassland communities respond to fire. Please bring a sack lunch to enjoy on the trail and plenty of water. Bring a sun hat, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes.
