March 17 Speaker Series: Wildflowers of Sonoma County Backroads

Abstract: April Lynch has spent a lifetime hiking, photographing colorful pictures of scenery and wildflowers found in Colusa, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, and Sonoma Counties, gathering detailed information on each flower. She knows you will appreciate the diversity and beauty of these wildflowers as she takes you on a virtual tour of Sonoma County backroads. April will illustrate how you can use wildflowers and native plants in your own garden and how to propagate some of them by seed or cuttings.

Bio: April is a California native. She is a photographer, a painter blending watercolor and acrylics, and has co-authored the book “Wildflowers! A Guide to Identifying the Wildflowers in the Wine Country of Northern California”. She has been a UC Davis Master Gardener since 2009 specializing in native wildflowers and oaks.

Milo Baker Chapter General Meetings and Speaker Series are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except for July, August, and December) at 7:30p.m. Meetings are held at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa, or via Zoom.
