January 16 Speaker: Revised Tree Ordinances and the Vital Importance of Oak Woodlands

Oak woodlandThe Milo Baker CNPS Chapter will host a panel discussion addressing the revised Sonoma County tree ordinances and the vital importance of our oak woodlands/savannas to our daily lives.

Panelists include, Caitlin Cornwall, biologist and Program Manager at Sonoma Ecology Center; Rue Furch, longtime community activist, former 17 year member of the Sonoma County Planning Commission; Wendy Krupnik, pioneering organic farmer, former manager of Shone Farm Organic Gardens and longtime SRJC agriculture instructor. There will be a question and answer period following the panel discussion.

Milo Baker Chapter General Meetings and Speaker Series are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except for July, August, and December) at 7:30p.m. Meetings are held at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa, or via Zoom.
