September/October 2025 Newsletter now available online!

Here is the September/October 2025 CNPSCI newsletter. We’ll have two great speakers from from the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy (Martin is rescheduled from August): Sophie McLean on September 16th, and Martin Schenker on October 21st. We’ve also got a couple of great field trips planned: Pine Mountain on September 7tha nd Carpinteria Salt Marsh on October 4th.

If you don’t know Rocio Mariposa’s artwork you must check it out! She has just launched a series of prints and note cards that feature California butterflies and their favorite plants. Her work is stunning.

Rounding out the newsletter is an article on the Southern California Black Walnut, and a highlight of the invasive plant species called Arundo donax. We’ve had some great tabling events and now we have a new tent!
