A Meeting of the Sierra Rock Garden Society open to all interestedÂ
Michael Uhler is a horticulturist at the Regional Parks Botanic Garden in Tilden, a famous native plant garden in Berkeley, where he is responsible for the Sierran section of the garden. His specialty is alpines, and he is known to travel long distances to find and document alpines on distant peaks.
Mt Williamson and Mount Tyndall are two of Californias 12 recognized 14,000 ft. + peaks in Inyo county. Join Michael as he leads us on a virtual backpacking botany trip to these two remote California summits in search of treasured alpines.
