FIELD TRIP: Electra Road Native Plant Walk <– CANCELLED DUE TO HIGH PROBABILITY OF RAIN

We will walk along Electra Road and identify the many native plants that are growing there.  In April 2025 those plants included, among others: Blue Dicks, Tufted Poppy, Bolander’s Woodland Star, several types of Lupine, White Globe Lily, Sierra Tidytips, and Purple Chinese Houses.

Meeting place: First set of restrooms along Electra Rd., about 2 miles east of the beginning of Electra Rd. at Highway 49.  This is on the Amador County side of the Mokelumne River.  The first part of the road is very narrow and pot-holed.  Not recommended for low-slung cars, like sports cars.

Dogs allowed but they must be on leash. This is a public road with vehicles passing by, so dogs need to be within your control for their safety.
