FIELD TRIP: EBMUD Wildflower Walk, Calaveras County

Join East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) rangers for a guided wildflower hike along the Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail.  This section of trail, located not far from the City of Jackson, offers impressive displays of native flowers.  Specimens of each of the species in bloom will be identified with a small sign before the hike by members of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS).  The hike will be a 3 mile round-trip with 550 feet of elevation gain over the course of a half mile.  A stone stairway has been constructed to help hikers get up and down this steep section.
