FIELD TRIP: Carson Pass to Lake Winnemucca

Bob Dean will lead two walks from Carson Pass to Lake Winnemucca. For both trips, meet at the Carson Pass Snowpark at 10 a.m. The only cautionary concern might be monsoonal moisture and the possibility of lightning. If that becomes an issue, we’ll still meet but do shorter hikes around the area. There will be no significant steep grades, but we’ll still climb over some distance. Be prepared for high altitude, sun, and wind. Bring food, sunscreen, and plenty of water and all the necessary tools for botanizing.
