FIELD TRIP: Carlon Area Along Evergreen Road

LEADER: Judy and Barry Breckling | LEVEL:  Easy | DESCRIPTION: We’ll spend time botanizing along the north and south sides of the South Fork of the Tuolumne River. Some of the plants we’ll be looking for are Phantom Orchid (Cephalanthera austiniae), Giant Trillium (Trillium angustipetalum), and Bride’s Bonnet (Clintonia uniflora), and we hope to see one other spectacular plant!
MEETING PLACE:  We’ll meet at Groveland Library parking lot (next to Mary Lavaroni Park on Main Street, Highway 120). Due to limited parking at Carlon and a parking fee of $10, the trip will be limited to 18 people, and we will be car pooling and maybe doing some strategic car shuttling.
TIME: 9:30 am at Groveland Library. If coming from the south through Yosemite, meet at Carlon Day Use Area at 10:00 am.
