EVENT: Growing Milkweed Plants from Seed

A Hands-on California Native Plant Society (CNPS)
Central Sierra Workshop for Amador and Calaveras Counties

Join fellow milkweed/monarch butterfly enthusiasts on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Amador Master Gardener Heritage Rose and Native Garden, 1334 Jackson Gate Rd, Jackson.

We will learn about growing milkweed in Amador and Calaveras Counties. The first 20 participants to RSVP will receive a packet of locally sourced milkweed seeds, collected for this workshop. We will be asking those 20 participants to be part of a loose communication group so we can both document our milkweed growing success and help each other support the monarchs flying through our two counties.

Participants beyond the first 20 may be able to donate $5 for a prepared milkweed growing kit from Mariposa Native Plants.
