Here we be

March 26 – 29, 2013
Cuyamaca Mountains near Julian, California

Organized by Chris Harrell

The 2013 SO BE FREE was held in the Cuyamaca Mountains near the historic gold mining town of Julian, CA. We visited higher elevations in the Palomar, Laguna, and Cuyamaca Ranges as well as a memorable trip to the Anza-Borrego Desert. Habitats explored ranged from mixed conifer forests and oak woodlands all the way down to the Colorado Desert. We were based at Camp Stevens at about 4,000 feet in elevation in Julian, with extensive trails onsite.
